As part of Volunteer Week 2020, Wil-U have launched a volunteer sign-up system in partnership with the Charity Retail Association (CRA).
At Wil-U, we’re all about creating an easier way to do good for charities and their supporters. With shops closed and most fundraising activities paused charities face a big financial struggle to keep funding their services, which are more in demand than ever before. Charities need to reopen their shops and start raising funds again, but with so many people impacted by the effects of the virus it’s expected that there will be a shortage in the number of charity shop volunteers able to help them.
The solution we have built allows volunteers to sign up via an easy online form. The CRA passes this information on to charities who need it so they can call registered volunteers about opportunities in their area.
We know how critical volunteers are to charity shops, which is why we have worked free of charge with the CRA on this project. Wil-U is on a mission to revolutionise how communities connect with charities and this is just another step in making that process quicker, easier and more straightforward.
